On Monday morning, IKMT demolished a 3-story building along the Vlora-Orikum road. The building was demolished using an explosion, and according to IKMT, 32 kg of explosives were used.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Edi Rama has published footage of the building collapsing online.
"And with these images of the confrontation with the illegality that hurts and disfigures the spaces where we coexist as sons and daughters of this country, where we will write what is not the last chapter of the battle with unauthorized construction or in violation of permits," is the message accompanying the published video.
It seems that the fate of the 3-story building was decided during a meeting that the Prime Minister had with the Mayors, highlighting as a serious violation of the law the construction of a building near the coastline. It is still unknown how this building flourished and no one acted before it reached the first 3 floors.
