Two Canadair air intervention planes are expected to arrive very soon
The Ministry of Defense has reacted to the situation of fires in the country, especially what is happening in Shengjin.
According to her, despite the continuous work of the operational forces in the field, under the coordination of the Civil Protection Agency, the situation in the hearth of the fire in the village of Mal Shengjin is problematic.
MM informs that in addition to the firefighting forces of the local government, the Cougar helicopter was engaged in extinguishing the flames, but as a result of the strong wind, the fire spread, endangering the residential areas and businesses in the area. It is further reported that measures were taken in time to evacuate the residents, making it possible to avoid the danger.
"Yesterday, 20 fire engines operated throughout the night with 60 fire brigades. Today, apart from the Cougar helicopter, 40 firefighting vehicles and 150 operational forces are working.
Following the request to the European Civil Defense Mechanism, two Canadair planes are expected to arrive very soon for air intervention. The situation continues to remain problematic despite all the commitment at the national level", it is emphasized in the announcement.
Residents are further urged to cooperate with the police and firemen in case of evacuation.
