A serious incident allegedly happened shortly after midnight in Dhërmi in Himara, where it is believed that a 31-year-old man died after being shot with a firearm. The victim is suspected to be Eraldo Nevruzi since there is no trace of him until now, while the perpetrator is Gerald Shehu. The latter was arrested in Corfu while trying to escape to England. Journalist Merin Maçi, invited to the show 'Opinion' on TV Klan, told what happened and how the police became aware of the incident.
" The event put the police on alert by the employees of the Greccia hotel themselves, who this morning around 09:30 went to the Himara police station to report the loss of contact with their colleague, Erald Nevruzi. Since yesterday, he had no contact with his colleagues. [Erald Nevruzi] He was a receptionist at the hotel where the serious event and the loss of life of the 31-year-old allegedly took place" , said the journalist.
Although the event was reported in the morning, the suspicions, according to all examinations, are that it happened shortly after midnight in the hotel. The journalist said that from the moment when the event is allegedly recorded until the first time the car of the suspected author appears, it is about 3 hours and 30 minutes.
" According to the investigators, it is suspected that the suspected author Gerald Shehu used to clean the scene ", said the journalist.
There were traces of blood in the room where Nevruzi was staying. What raised the police's suspicions were precisely the traces of blood and his personal belongings that were there. These actions did not raise doubts that he had left to leave his workplace, or to continue his life.
" According to the suspicions of the police, the murder was committed in the environment where he was staying, outside the hotel. So far it's not a momentary hassle. Gerald Shehu is a person who has had problems with justice in the past, but according to the journalist, not significant problems. Thanks to the author's Audi Q7 car, the police were able to follow all his movements.
" The route of the white Audi Q7 was followed. From the hotel he headed to the city of Saranda. This vehicle was abandoned in a garage near the port and was found by the police thanks to following the route. There were traces of blood inside. From this moment he moved with a taxi. First with a taxi that took him near the border crossing point of Qafë Bota and from Qafë Bota with another taxi that took him in the direction of Igoumenica, where Gerald Shehu took the ferry and headed towards Corfu. In Corfu he would take a plane to leave. He was arrested there by the police ," he said.
The suspicions are that Shehu threw Nevruz in one of the villages he passed through. For this reason, the police are following the controls. Meanwhile, according to the journalist Maçi, the police also detained two people who are suspected of helping the author to transport the dead body from the hotel to the car.
" Just a few minutes ago, on the initiative of the police, two people who allegedly helped him to transport the dead body from the room to the Audi Q7 were detained. "Continuous communications are being carried out for the immediate handover by the Greek authorities and not to proceed to other extradition procedures of a person who is wanted ," said the journalist.
