South African football is in mourning after the passing of Jaden Adams. The tragic news was confirmed by the family of the 25-year-old former midfielder, with local media reporting that he is suspected of taking his own life after a difficult period with depression.
Adams was part of the South African team at the World Cup, where he played in three matches. In total, he made nine appearances for the national team and scored one goal.
