Israel has continued its attacks in southern Lebanon, despite a ceasefire agreement with Hezbollah, raising concerns about the fragility of the agreement reached between the parties.
According to reports from Lebanon, a strike targeted the Al-Mashaa neighborhood in the city of Al-Mansouri, in the southern district of Tyre. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) told CNN that they were verifying the information about the attack.
The strikes come at a time when Israel is expected to withdraw from two areas in southern Lebanon in the coming days, as part of a deal brokered by the United States and signed late last month.
Meanwhile, Lebanese authorities have reported other drone attacks this week. According to the Lebanese National News Agency (NNA), one person was killed after a drone hit a motorbike in the southern town of Kafr Rumman, while another person was seriously injured in another attack.
In another incident reported by NNA, two people were injured after an Israeli drone hit a truck in the Nabatieh area.
For its part, the Israeli army stated that the attacks targeted individuals it described as militants and that they posed an immediate threat to its forces.
"The IDF said it eliminated the men, whom it called terrorists who had posed an 'imminent threat' to its soldiers ," he said.
According to data from Lebanon's Ministry of Public Health, at least 4,321 people have been killed and 12,207 others injured by Israeli attacks in Lebanon since March 2.
