The images of the physical collision between Prince Leka Zogu and his ex-wife Elia Zaharia have made the rounds of the media in the country and abroad.
Journalist Klodiana Lala told "The Unexposed" that the report by Leka alleged for violence by the ex-father-in-law and ex-wife was made on March 5, while the video was published yesterday.
She says that the police are investigating who is her distributor.
"Prince Leka requested the intervention of the police after a suspected incident of domestic violence involving his ex-wife and ex-father-in-law. A video surfaced online on Tuesday, March 5, allegedly showing Prince Leka involved in a physical altercation with Princess Elia, 41, and her father, Gjergj Zaharia, 71.
Now the police have launched an investigation to understand whether the video was shared by the owner himself or by police officers.
Prince Leka and Elia Zaharia were provided with a protection order by court decision and must stay 5 meters away from each other.
He says that he hit me with a statue and his wife also hit me from behind and he took his cell phone and filmed it. This case shows us that violence does not only happen in poor families with economic problems, but also in those families, even though the position is honorary.
The request for divorce between them is awaiting approval. The Tirana police have made a symbolic decision not to come closer than 5 meters and to meet the girl in the presence of the nanny.
