Journalist Artan Hoxha has spoken about the action of the Italian anti-mafia, where it was discovered that a group of Albanians had managed to take ownership and rent, 31 restaurants and other properties in Florence and are suspected of evasion and money laundering.
Invited to the show "Te Paespozuarit", Hoxha said that SPAK has also started investigations, to understand if the source of the money is drug trafficking. The journalist added that checks have been made in several cities of Albania.
"There has been a lot of attention from the Italian media. In fact, every time I went to Florence, one thing caught my eye, the bars in the center of Florence, the main bars and restaurants there were managed by Albanians. A group of Albanians had bought and taken 31 restaurants and two hotels for rent.There were also two breweries and car rental businesses.

From the investigation results so far, they are accused of fiscal evasion, money laundering. They started their activity in 2012.
According to the Italian prosecutor's office, the financier of this network avoided 1 million and 100 thousand euros in taxes. In total, they evaded 13.5 million euros. The introduction of SPAK, which has been tougher than the Italians, has started for this reason, the suspicion that this money came from illegal activities, from drug trafficking. The Italian prosecution says, when they entered the business, they had no income to buy other assets.
The employees have also been checked, the prosecutor's office has entered them well. Do we only have tax evasion, or money laundering from drug trafficking? For the Albanian groups, Florence has been preferred for controlling the narcotics traffic, some of the big groups have been there ," said Hoxha.
