At the doors of family doctors there are always more and more patients who need medical help. What is noticed according to doctors is the increase in covid cases. Among the dozens of visits they make during a day, 90% of them are affected by the coronavirus.
"In recent days, an increased flow of patients with seasonal viruses has been observed in our center. Some of them present with symptoms such as temperature, dry cough, sore throat, while others with gastrointestinal symptoms. What is noticed is an increase in the number of patients with Covid ", said doctor Fabiola Gjona for "Euronews Albania".
But they say that there is no place for panic, because the symptoms of the disease are mild and pass without any problem, risk groups should be more careful.
" With mild symptoms such as burning throat, dry cough, increased sweating are symptoms that last 3 to 4 days. It is recommended that patients in these moments use plenty of liquids and therapeutic vitamins ", concluded the doctor.
Even in the pediatric emergency service at QSUT, an increase in the number of children affected by the coronavirus has been observed these days, but without complications.
