The government has appointed Valdrin Pjetrin to the position of General Director of the Property Treatment Agency (ATP), replacing Benard Palaj, who was appointed to head the institution just a few months ago.
The decision was approved at today's meeting of the Council of Ministers.
Pjetri has completed his higher education in Finance-Accounting and holds a second-level master's degree in Leadership.
He began his career in administration at the Ministry of Finance, where he served as an administrator from 2010 to 2014. Then, in the period 2014–2017, he headed a structure at the Ministry of Defense.
In 2018, he was appointed director of the Tirana Mortgage, while a year later he held the position of chief registrar and then prefect of the Shkodra District.
In 2019, Pjetri won the elections for the Municipality of Shkodra as a candidate of the Socialist Party, but did not take office after being subject to the decriminalization law.
Since 2022, he has served as the administrator of AMI at the Albanian Development Fund (ADF), and will now head the Property Treatment Agency.
