From clashes in Parliament to attacks on the opposition, the protest marathon comes to an end

After a long day of protests, marches and tensions, citizens have closed today's evening, the 31st day of the revolt, by returning again in front of the Prime Minister's Office. From 10:00 in the morning until late in the evening, the protest turned into a 12-hour marathon, which targeted not only the government, but also the opposition.

The day began in front of the Albanian Parliament, where the most violent clashes with the police were recorded. Some protesters were escorted to the police station, while the images of citizens being dragged became one of the most commented moments of the protest.

After the incidents, the crowd moved to the police station, where they awaited the release of the escorts. As they emerged, the protesters greeted them with applause and cheers, describing the police response as an attempt to intimidate the movement.

In the afternoon, the protest returned to the Prime Minister's Office, where organizers and citizens delivered harsh speeches. For the first time, criticism was not directed only at the government. The opposition was also openly attacked from the podium, which was accused of not reacting when protesters clashed with the police.

"Where were you when they dragged us in front of Parliament?" was the message addressed to Democratic Party deputies, while the protesters reiterated that they no longer trust either the Socialist Party or the Democratic Party, considering both to be part of the same political class.

Meanwhile, on the same day that the protest continued in the streets, the government approved decisions on pensioner bonuses and changes to the budget, measures that protesters interpreted as an attempt to mitigate social discontent and maintain support for the public administration.

After more than two hours of speeches, the citizens began their nightly march. The first stop was again in front of the Parliament, where the incidents had been recorded in the morning. For several minutes, the crowd chanted "Shame, shame!" and "Crime police!", referring to the intervention of the law enforcement agencies.

The march then continued near the Democratic Party headquarters, where chants of "SP-PD, communist puppies" or "Rama in prison, Berisha in prison" were heard, a slogan that has been repeated for days and reflects the protesters' message that the revolt is against the entire old political class.

The evening ended where the afternoon rally began, in front of the Prime Minister's Office. With red and black flags in their hands and chants of "Rama go away," "Rama resign," "New Albania," and "Your end has come," the protesters concluded another day of mobilization.

After 31 days of non-stop protests, the movement aims to exert pressure not only on the government, but also on the parliamentary opposition, demanding a change in the entire political system. While the government continues to announce social and financial measures, the organizers insist that they will continue the actions in the coming days, with the next stop announced in front of the Special Prosecution Office (SPAK), where they will hand over the book "Albanian Files" as evidence of Rama's crimes.
