The hearing for Dritan Rexhepi has been postponed, due to the absence of lawyer Henrik Ligori, who is in the preliminary trial of Erion Veliaj.
Under these conditions, the Court decided to suspend the pre-trial detention terms. Meanwhile, the next hearing will be held on December 19, at 10:00.
Rexhepi is accused of the murder of Jan Prenga.
Jan Prenga was kidnapped on January 17, 2020 in Kamëz. He was taken to the “Golden” complex where he was allegedly raped to death and his body is suspected to have been disposed of in the village of Pjezë, very close to the complex, but has not yet been found. According to SPAK, the kidnapping came after Jan Prenga’s brother stole a quantity of cocaine in Great Britain.
The order for the kidnapping of Prenga is suspected to have been given by Dritan Rexhepi and his co-defendant Gentian Funiqi, the organization was made by the defendants Martin Bleta and Korado Gesthenja, while the execution of the kidnapping was made by the defendants Artan Doçaj, Aldo Majnishta, Geraldo Martini and another unidentified person. During the hearings at the GJKKO, Dritan Rexhepi has denied involvement in the kidnapping of Jan Prenga, while the other organizer, Altin Hajri, the owner of the “Golden” complex where the crime occurred, is still at large.
