Sali Berisha's concern about the support that Ervin Salianji may receive from the Democrats is added by another detail.
The former MP turns out to be the first figure within the DP to surpass Berisha in terms of public interest from Google searches in recent days.
Google Trends data, published by IT expert Besmir Semanaj, shows that from November 5 to December 4, Albanian citizens have shown greater interest in Saliani than in the party leader himself.
This increase in searches for Salianji comes at a time when he has begun his cycle of meetings with the Democratic base, known as "Foltorja", with the first meeting held in Durrës. There, he gathered a significant number of Democrats and party figures who seem to be disappointed with the current situation and are demanding change in the DP.
Meanwhile, in parallel with the Salijanj movement, which he described as motivated by personal interests, Sali Berisha has also intensified meetings with structures. After the meeting in Tirana, he held another one in Mirdita, where the democrats of the area did not hesitate to criticize him.
