Tirana Police have made public the plan of measures to guarantee order and security during the rally.
The Democratic Party will hold its next national protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office today, at 6:00 PM, while the Tirana Police has made public the plan of measures to guarantee order and security during the rally.
According to the official announcement, police structures have taken all measures in implementation of the law "On Gatherings", also providing for movement restrictions on several main axes of the capital.
Specifically, from 09:30 until the end of the protest, vehicle traffic will be blocked on "Dëshmorët e Kombit" Boulevard, from the Bridge to the intersection with "Ismail Qemali" Street.
Meanwhile, from 3:00 PM, traffic will also be prohibited on "Free Ukraine", "Papa John Paul II" and "Ismail Qemali" streets, measures that will remain in force until the end of the rally.
The police have announced that, depending on the development of the protest, there may be temporary restrictions on other roads. To facilitate traffic, diversions to alternative routes have been planned.
At the end of the announcement, Tirana Police asks citizens for understanding regarding the restrictions and appeals to avoid any involvement in illegal actions that may violate public order and safety.
"Based on and in implementation of the law "On Gatherings", Tirana Police has taken all necessary measures to guarantee public order at the rally that will take place today, at 6:00 PM, in front of the Prime Minister's Office.
In this context, there will be restrictions on movement on several road axes. Specifically:
-From 09:30 until the end of the rally, vehicle movement will be blocked on the “Dëshmorët e Kombit” boulevard, from the Bridge to the intersection with “Ismail Qemali” street;
-From 15:00 until the end of the rally, the “Ukraine e Lirë”, “Papa John Paul II” and “Ismail Qemali” streets will be blocked.
Depending on the development of the rally, there may be restrictions on vehicle traffic on other road axes. In case of blockage, to assist citizens who will circulate on these axes, Tirana Police has taken measures to divert vehicle traffic to alternative routes.
"Tirana Police requests citizens' understanding regarding the restriction of vehicle movement, and appeals to distance themselves if they encounter illegal actions that violate public order and safety," the police announced.
