The former head of SPAK, Altin Dumani, seems to have emerged victorious from the leadership of the Special Prosecution Office, as in addition to the hefty salary, he also bought an apartment before leaving.

According to the declaration to the HIDAKKI for the year 2024, Dumani is a co-owner of an apartment with a total area of 101.70 m2, with a taxable share of 50%, or 50.85 m2. The declared value of the property is 6,100,000 lek. So much lower than the market value.
In terms of finances, Dumani declares an individual current account with a balance of 396.16 euros. During 2024, he added a deposit of 20,000 dollars, while reducing other deposits to the value of 15,979.38 euros and 20,008 dollars.
His salary income from SPAK for 2024 amounts to 6,813,446 lek net. Meanwhile, he himself has also declared income from rent in the amount of 80,000 lek per year.
A larger portion of the rental income results in the name of the wife. According to the declaration, she benefited from 187,000 lek and 360,000 lek from rent during 2024, as well as 6,000 euros in additional rental income for the same period.
The leader of the DP, Sali Berisha, recently accused Dumani of having hidden assets, mentioning about 4 apartments, while saying that Dumani has stated that he lives in a rented apartment with his father-in-law.
" Now Dumani is closing it with a black face, with hidden assets. I have full proof. I am a former president and former prime minister and, in fact, I guarantee that no employee of this state, including the de facto president and prime minister, has 4 apartments with the state salary. He declares that I am renting from my father-in-law. Do you understand what a fraud he is. If he said that his father-in-law gave his daughter an apartment as a gift, I would accept it. But the apartment was built, he is a shareholder and says I am renting from my father-in-law. He found these owners with 3 apartments. Who can have them with the state salary?
