Lawyer Kreshnik Spahiu has commented on the appointment of Blendi Gonxhe as Minister of Economy, Culture and Innovation. According to him, this is not a political appointment, as he is not an MP elected by the Socialist Party.
According to Spahiu, Rama chose him because he needs to clean up his team. The lawyer added that Blendi Gonxhja is part of the new political legacy of Edi Rama and one of the three figures who will have the main weight in the next 6-7 years.
The lawyer says that the three future central figures of the Socialist Party are Erion Veliaj, Belinda Balluku and Blendi Gonxhja.
"Rama needs to choose a new team. Blendi Gonxhja, more than a minister of a super ministry, is Edi Rama's new project for one of the three central figures of this party. I look at Blendi Gonxhe. Rama is preparing a new kind of political legacy. In his political legacy he has projected three central figures, the three future central figures of the Socialist Party are Erion Veliaj, Belinda Balluku and Blendi Gonxhja.
I see them as central figures for the Socialist Party after 6 or 7 years. I do not rule out the possibility that at the end of Bajram Begaj's term, Edi Rama will leave the prime ministership himself. I predict that Edi Rama will not leave the prime ministership when the Socialist Party falls, he will not make the mistake that Sali Berisha did, he will leave the prime ministership when the socialists are in power. He will create the political relay and will be replaced when the socialists are in power", said Kreshnik Spahiu for "Euronews Albania".
