SPAK extends investigation deadlines by 3 months

The GJKKO decided not to change the security measure for the former director of ARRSH, Gentian Gjuli, and the former director of KESH, Erald Elezi, who will continue to remain under house arrest as part of the investigations into the Llogara Tunnel file.

The two former officials requested the replacement of the security measure, arguing that the 6-month investigation period ends in two days.

The court rejected their request and at the same time approved SPAK's request to postpone the investigations for another three months.

The investigations are related to the tender procedures for the Llogara Tunnel, where SPAK has raised suspicions of violations of equality in tenders.

Balluku is included in this file, for whom SPAK requested suspension from her duties as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, as well as a ban on leaving the country.

The measures were imposed by the GJKKO in November 2025 and have been left in force by other levels of the judiciary.

About a week ago, Balluku appealed to the Supreme Court, requesting the lifting of the suspension from office.
