Former Minister of Health, Ilir Beqaj, will be tried in a regular trial on charges of theft by abuse of office within the framework of a structured criminal group.
Beqaj is being tried by special judges, Rudina Palloj, Irena Gjoka, Erjon Çela. At the start of the trial, he stated that the new charges were never communicated to him.
"For me, any kind of judicial body in this session is illegal, I don't have it with you personally. It is a situation of illegality, as I have not received any notice of charges from the prosecution for theft, I have only been notified for abuse of office," said Beqaj.
