Medical students continue to boycott university auditoriums and are holding protests against the law that forces them to work for 5 years in Albania after completing their studies.
With placards in their hands and chanting "we will not surrender to injustice", even today the students marched from the premises of the University of Medicine and towards the Ministry of Education.
The students blocked the intersection for a few minutes in the area known as the 9-floors in Tirana. They sat cross-legged and sang patriotic songs and the flag anthem, although they oppose the law that forces them to work for 5 years in the homeland.
Meanwhile, just a day ago, the payment that students must pay if they do not sign the contract that holds their diploma hostage for 5 years was also approved. The administration board of Tirana University of Medicine has calculated the cost of one student, in the amount of 240 thousand new lek for one academic year.
