A frozen food product originating from Italy has been included in a food safety alert in Europe, and it turns out that it has also been distributed on the Albanian market.
The product in question is "MINESTRONE 16 Verdure", 750 gram package, with lot number L03DK and expiration date June 30, 2028. The authorities have requested its withdrawal from the market as it has been assessed to pose a serious risk to consumers.
The alert was triggered after a potentially dangerous foreign body was reported inside one of the packages. Following verifications, the European Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF) classified the case as having the highest risk level.
According to published data, the product was imported into Albania on May 14, 2026 by the entity "PRONATYRA TREG". The imported quantity was distributed to two points of sale in Tirana and, at the time the withdrawal from the market was announced, it turned out that it had all been sold.
Authorities are asking citizens who purchased this product with the lot number L03DK not to consume it if it is still in the refrigerator. They should return the product to the point of purchase.
