Pastor Akil Pano said in the Barometer show on Euronews Albania that the draft law on surrogacy is nothing but business with private clinics.
He said that the European Union has come out with a decision that condemns surrogacy as a criminal law that exposes women and girls to trafficking.
"Are they (the experts who drafted the law) the owners of private clinics and are they directly or indirectly involved in this business?" asked the pastor.
Former Deputy Interior Minister Elona Gjebrea, who, as she said, is part of the national reproductive health committee, emphasized that the draft law has no elements of human trafficking.
