Journalist Lavdrim Lita has commented on the visit of SPAK prosecutors to the USA.
In an interview for Euronews Albania, Lita stated that Albania's strategic partner is not only at the diplomatic level, but also at the level of justice and economy.
He further underlined that the fight against impunity will deepen, adding that justice and the state have every chance to win.
"They are working visits with certain departments such as the FBI, DEA. We must understand that the strategic partnership with the US is not only at the diplomatic or political level, but also at the level of justice and economy. They are prosecutors who are dealing with very important files that need cooperation and a partner, especially with some witnesses or evidence found in the USA.
We know that criminal groups in Albania have attempted to assassinate prosecutors. The fight against impunity will deepen and without a doubt it will be a head-on collision and of course the state or justice has every chance to win. The failure of SPAK in the major file would be very costly not only in the reputation of the reform in justice but also in an international point of view", he said.
