The last days of April feature gradual weather changes, while the beginning of May is expected to be characterized by higher temperatures.
According to meteorologist Lajda Porja, the current day is expected to be clear with temperatures reaching up to 27 degrees Celsius. Later in the day, there will be partial cloudiness, mainly in the northern and northeastern areas, where light rainfall is also expected.
Tomorrow brings increasing cloudiness and temporary precipitation in the early morning hours. Then, the precipitation intensifies in the form of showers, concentrated in the eastern part of the country, including the low-lying areas of Tirana and Elbasan. This situation is accompanied by a drop in temperatures, with a maximum of around 22 degrees Celsius and the presence of a colder wind.
This drop is considered temporary and lasts about 24 hours. Starting from Friday and during the weekend, weather conditions improve significantly. Stable weather is expected on Saturday and Sunday, with sunshine and no precipitation, while the mornings remain cool. On Sunday, temperatures reach up to 26 degrees Celsius and the following week continues with favorable conditions.
Rainfall during the week appears in limited time intervals and does not last all day.
High temperatures are expected in the region, with 24-25 degrees in Kosovo and 25-26 degrees in North Macedonia. However, tomorrow brings a significant drop in temperatures in some areas of Kosovo, up to 9-10 degrees, as a result of a cold air mass that also affects northern Albania and partially North Macedonia. This situation is also accompanied by rainfall in these territories.
From the weekend onwards, the weather stabilizes across the region and temperatures begin to gradually increase.
"Today will be a very warm and sunny day. We expect temperatures to reach 27 degrees Celsius today. The weather will be clear, partly cloudy in the second half of the day, with light rainfall in the northern and northeastern areas."
Tomorrow will be mainly cloudy, with light rain in the early morning hours, while the second part of the day will also see showers, which will be mainly in the eastern half, in the low-lying areas of Tirana and Elbasan.
We will also have a drop in temperatures, as cloudiness will be quite present and we will have a lack of sunlight. Tomorrow temperatures will be maximum up to 22 degrees Celsius. It is a temporary situation for only 24 hours. Tomorrow, in terms of wind, we will have a cold wind.
Starting from Friday and into the weekend, we expect a significant improvement in the weather, with Sunday and Saturday being very sunny and without precipitation, with a cool morning.
While on Sunday it will peak at 26 degrees, with good weather expected for the rest of the week.
Even this week, showers will be sporadic, not all day long.
Regarding the region, it is predicted to be sunny and very high temperatures, 24-25 degrees in Kosovo and 25-26 in North Macedonia.
Tomorrow there will be a significant drop in temperatures, where in certain areas of Kosovo there will be a drop of up to 9-10 degrees, a cold front that will affect northern Albania and will also affect most of Kosovo and partially North Macedonia.
"Tomorrow will also mark heavy rain in both Kosovo and North Macedonia.
Starting from Friday and the weekend, the weather will improve significantly and next week temperatures will have a significant increase in maximum values. And next week we enter the end of spring. The month of May will mark very high temperatures at 27-30 degrees," meteorologist Lajda Porja told Euronews Albania.
The forecast shows a rapid transition from unstable conditions to a period of high temperatures in early May.
