Dozens of hectares of charred land and burnt pine trees have been left behind by the fires that fell on the hills of Mal Shengjin village, Shengjin administrative unit, Lezhë municipality. There are also homes affected or described by fires.
Fire engines worked throughout the night preventing a potential catastrophe. The two large fires, the one in Rana i Hedhun and the one near the port of Shengjin, have reduced their intensity today while efforts are being made to prevent the spread of fires due to the wind.
On the part of the municipality of Lezhë, monitoring will be carried out for objects that may have been affected (visited), by the fire that yesterday endangered the resort, the apartment and the binze. Meanwhile, yesterday the flames surrounded several tourist resorts on the coast.
For today, all the firefighting equipment will operate, 300 fire fighters, about 100 municipal forces are operating on the ground to comb every burning bonfire, burning logs. The wind continues to blow strong, which favors the reactivation of the foci.
The city of Shengjin, as well as the village of Mal Shengjin, was monitored throughout the night by the structures of the Ministry of Education, 150 members of the Armed Forces and the administrative unit, the municipality, putting out many fires that appeared during the night.
Another active focus is on the mountain of Kakarrić, between the village of Zojs, the administrative unit of Dajç, Lezhë and the village of Kukul, the administrative unit of Bushat, Vau Dejës.
