The surgeon of QSUT, Arvin Dibra, who was accidentally injured on August 10, after jumping to bathe in the Buna river in Shkodër, left on Wednesday afternoon for Italy for more specialized treatment, on a plane private.
Sources at the QSUT informed "Report TV" that the health condition of the well-known doctor, who also has Italian citizenship, has improved, since the surgical intervention in the neck, from which he received numerous injuries (part of the vertebrae relating to the spine).
And yet it takes time for his recovery due to serious injuries. But his situation according to the white shirts is improving and is being kept under intensive treatment. It is learned that the services to the doctor for travel and treatment were all done privately.
From the dynamics revealed by the investigation into the incident, the Chief of Surgery was having lunch with his family, in a bar in Dajç, near the shore of Buna. He went in for a bath and dove in head first. But unfortunately it collided with the rocks at depth and received serious damage.
The incident happened on Saturday, August 10, around 12:25. Initially, the 52-year-old was transported by helicopter to the Trauma Hospital in Tirana, for more specialized medical intervention, and after the first operation, there were slight improvements. But it was further recommended to go to Italy, for even more specialized treatment.
Prof. Arvin Dibra is currently Head of the 1st Surgical Clinic QSUT, as well as head of the Department of Surgery at the University of Medicine.
