The file in charge of the former general secretary of the Ministry of Health Joana Duro, specialist Laura Shteto, businessman Vladimir Topi and engineer Silvi Shehu has passed for trial.
It is learned that the Court has accepted the requests for a summary trial of the 4 suspects.
The defendant Duro is accused of "Passive corruption of high state officials".
The same accusation also weighs on the defendant Laura Shteto, while the businessman Vladimir Topi and the engineer of his company, Silvi Shehu, are accused by SPAK of the criminal offense "Active corruption of high state officials".
From the investigations of the Special Prosecutor's Office, it appears that Joana Duro, acting as General Secretary of the Ministry of Health, has irregularly benefited from the monetary value of 330,000 thousand lek to favor the company "Dricons" sh.pk, which won the stage of first of the tender announced Supervision for the reconstruction of some Health Centers in Tirana and Durrës Districts.
SPAK says that Vladimir Topi, administrator of the company "Dricons" sh.pk, with the aim of unfairly winning the tender, gave the engineer of his company the sum of 330 thousand ALL. Shehu handed over this money to the defendant Laura Shteto, who handed it over to the General Secretary of the Ministry.
At the moment when the money was handed over, the agents of the National Bureau of Investigation intervened and arrested Joana Duros and other persons. The preliminary judge is expected to decide on this criminal file, while SPAK says that it has opened a new case and is continuing the investigations for other criminal facts.
