The Prosecutor's Office of Tirana requests the confiscation of the assets of former official Alda Klosi, from the sum of over 500,000 euros to the apartment, garage and car.
"The Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction, Tirana requests the confiscation of the assets of the citizen Alda Klosi after it was proven that the property subject to the request for confiscation has no legal origin and it was proven that this property was created during criminal activity.
On 27.12.2022, this prosecutor's office, on the basis of the material referred by the Tirana Police Station No. 2, registered criminal proceedings No. 9220, for the criminal offense "Theft" provided for by Article 134/3 of the Criminal Code. From the acts of the investigation, it was found that on 15.12.2022, at around 2:10 p.m., the Operative Room of the Tirana Police was notified that in the "Kosovarë" Street, the apartment of the AK citizen was stolen in the "Orion" building
From the control exercised in the apartment of RD and HD (authors of the theft), on 06.01.2023, the following were found and seized as material evidence: the sum of 58,150 (fifty eight thousand one hundred and fifty) euros. Meanwhile, on 07.01.2023, at 7:30 p.m., in their apartment, the judicial police seized as material evidence: The sum of 404,800 (four hundred and four thousand and eight hundred).
The criminal investigation proved that the money and euro/dollar currency seized in the residence of the citizens of RD and HD were stolen from the residence of the citizen of AK
Also, the defendant AK was charged with the criminal offense of "Refusal to declare, non-declaration, concealment or false declaration of assets, private interests of elected persons, public servants or any other person who has the legal obligation to declaration", provided by article 257/a/2 of the Penal Code and a request for trial was sent on 09.10.2023.
As above, the prosecution body concludes that the amount of money seized in R. D's apartment and the apartment/garage bought in 2019 by her ex-husband AK, have been hidden and not declared in ILDKPKI. These assets are not justified, as they are not covered by legal income and until they are declared, their legality is not proven.
Under these conditions, within the six-month period, the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction, Tirana, submits the request for confiscation and transfer to the ownership of the state of the following assets:
Monetary amount 368,000.00 (three hundred and sixty-eight thousand) Lek, 15,600.00 (fifteen thousand and six hundred) USD US dollars, 462,950.00 (four hundred and sixty-two thousand and nine hundred and fifty) Euro, seized on account of the proceedings criminal no. 9220/2022 and collected in the account of the Prosecution at the bank "Credins Bank", according to the relevant mandates dated 10.01.2023;
Apartment with usable area of 85.09 m2, property number 6/572+1-35, ZK 8210, Vol. 42, Page 127 property located in Tirana, owned by the AK citizen;
Garage with a usable area of 14.06 m2 with asset number 6/572-G 16 ZK 8210, Vol 42, Page 74, an asset located in Tirana, owned by a citizen of AK;
Toyota Rav 4 car, license plate AA170ZY, No. "Chassis JTMBB31V50D109772, owned by the AK citizen," the announcement states.
Alda Klosi was released on April 4 from the prison cell after the end of the sentence.
Klos was sentenced by the court to 2 years and 6 months, where after the shortened trial he had to spend 20 months in the prison. Meanwhile, after his release, he will remain under "House Arrest" for the second charge, that of "Money Laundering" until the prosecution decides according to the deadline set by the court.
We remind you that her nurse Rozeta Dobi was also found guilty and was sentenced to 7 years in prison, with a shortened trial of 4 years and 8 months.
Her son Javier Dobi was sentenced to 5 years in prison, where in the application for summary judgment he was sentenced to 3 years and 4 months.
Alda Klosi is the owner of the apartment, in which the sanitary worker Rozeta Dobi and her son Javier Dobi robbed an amount of around 120 thousand euros.
The theft in the apartment of the former senior official happened on December 15, 2022.
After reporting the theft to the police and checks carried out in the apartment of mother and son, about 405 thousand euros, 8500 dollars and gold accessories were found, which are also suspected to have been stolen by the cleaner Rozeta Dobi.
It was Klosi herself who made the complaint to the police, as she claimed that the money belonged to a person close to her who was going to be cured of a serious illness.
The theft of the apartment was carried out with the key that the house cleaner had, who took advantage of the moment when there was no one in the apartment. She and her son, after stealing the amount of money, made a mess in the bedroom to lose track.
It was all done with the purpose of staging a scheme as if the apartment had fallen prey to robbery by other perpetrators.
