The video of the arrest of Armando Ndreca, the brother of the socialist deputy of Lezha, Eduard Ndreca, has been published.
He was handcuffed on Wednesday, April 10 by the Blues near a service station in the city of Lezha. The video shows the moment when Ndreca, wearing a blue T-shirt, is handcuffed by police forces.
Ndreca has been arrested on suspicion of being involved in the cultivation of cannabis, after an anti-drug operation where a stable turned into a 'grass house' was found. An arrest warrant has been issued for Ndreca, together with the other two persons, while the next day they are expected to appear before the Court to familiarize themselves with the security measure.
The arrest of the socialist MP's brother came after a months-long investigation by the Lezha Police on the cultivation of cannabis in the forests of Kashnjet. On Wednesday, Armando Ndreca's brother-in-law, Armel Nikdukaj, 27 years old, and Elvis Shpellzai, 28 years old, were also arrested. They were caught in the stable they had adapted as a 'shepherd's house'.
Nikdukaj and his friend Shpellzai have been kept under surveillance for several months. Ndresa Ndreca fell into the "trap" of the Police, after tapping the phone of her brother-in-law Armel Nikdukaj, a phone call with Armando Ndreca was also recorded. But his role in this criminal activity is still unknown, while during the questioning the deputy's brother stated that he has nothing to do with drugs.
During the operation, 2973 narcotic plants, some of them seedlings ready to be cultivated in the ground, a quantity of narcotic substance cannabis sativa, 50 lamps, ventilation equipment and three mobile phones were seized. While during the control in the apartments of Nikdukaj and Shpellazi in the city of Koplik, 3 cold weapons and a mask were seized.
