Two days ago, the mayor of Erseka, Erion Isai, was taken into custody by SPAK. Journalist Klodiana Lala revealed the charges against Isai on the show "The Unexposed".
Lala said that Isai is facing charges related to the Korça-Ersekë road and a water supply system in Korça, and the prosecution also has conversations between superiors and subordinates regarding these.
" There is a complaint about the Korça-Ersekë road, because this road has collapsed several times and there have been problems with increasing costs. Mr. Isai is accused of the criminal offense of "violating equality in tenders" and 7 other officials and a representative of the company that won the tender have also been taken into custody. One has to do with the Korça-Ersekë road in favor of the winning company and the other has to do with the construction of a water supply in the Korça area. Mr. Isai has been taken into custody and charges have been communicated to him along with other persons. The other part for misuse of funds, falsification of documents and corruption, have been separated and the investigation into this part is ongoing.
