Bushati on the Israel-Palestine conflict: A two-state solution is needed

Former Foreign Minister Ditmir Bushati spoke about the clashes between Israel and Hamas and the possible path to resolving this conflict in Gaza.

According to the former minister, the best solution to the conflict is a two-state solution, while emphasizing that extremist ideas fuel conflicts.

" When we talk about the conflict in the Middle East, we are not only talking about the relations between Israel and Palestine, but Israel and the Arab world. Most countries are for a sustainable two-state solution. States like Germany and Italy do not recognize Palestine, but they support Palestine in its initiatives and participation in several international forums and act when the situation in Gaza is problematic. There can be no solution in the Middle East if each side defends its own extremist idea ," Bushati said in "Opinion".
