Implementation of the border agreement begins/Free movement between Kosovo and Albania is restored
The agreement on free border movement between Kosovo and Albania entered into force this Friday, restoring convenience for citizens traveling between the two countries.
The agreement will be active until October and is expected to be reapplied during December and January, as well as on weekends.
It aims to avoid long waits at the border and simplify procedures, enabling passage without detailed checks of identification documents, except in cases considered suspicious.
Its implementation has brought a significant improvement in traffic, eliminating long lines of vehicles.
According to official data, only during the early hours of this morning, around 15 thousand citizens entered Albania, most of them from Kosovo.
To cope with the influx, 11 counters have been put into operation at the Morina border crossing, enabling quick and unhindered passage.
Sources from this border point report that in the last 24 hours, around 37 thousand citizens have crossed, of which 25 thousand have entered Albanian territory.
Meremja, who "disturbed" the DP, speaks out/ If I win, I will be a candidate for prime minister, I will not put Berisha in the government
Mereme Sela, who applied today to be a candidate for the Democratic Party's presidency in the May 23 elections, stated that she was pushed to enter this race as a result of the great contribution she claims to have made to the community, mainly in the field of medicine (as she is a doctor by profession).
Sela made the comments on the 'Frontline' show on Report TV, where he said that he met all the criteria to be part of the race for the leadership of the Democratic Party.
Sela also added that he had been part of the 2025 Democratic Party primaries, while criticizing this process, stating that at that time the party was almost non-existent.
When asked if the race was rigged to favor Sali Berisha, Mereme Sela said she had no criticism and did not want to fight anyone. She added that she was a smiling and peaceful person by nature.
Dispute in the PS/ Klodiana Lala: Spiropali should be brave and show us the dark sides of governance
Journalist Klodiana Lala, commenting on the reaction of former minister Elisa Spiropali after Rama's warning not to write against the Socialist Party, otherwise she will be expelled from the party, called on the socialist MP to be brave and speak out.
Lala asked Spiropali to become a repentant justice and show the dark sides of the socialist government:
"Ms. Spiropali reacted when she left the government and her own interests were ruined. But I share the same position with Preçi that regarding the fact that she did not join the vote for Balluk, it is a political act. But Spiropali has legitimized all the affairs, corruption, farces that have occurred. She has the right to speak and show us that part that we do not fully know. She should testify, since she has started this battle, be brave and show us the darkest side of the Socialist Party.
If Elisa Spiropali were to become a non-repentant justice seeker, confess the dark side, she would do Albania a great service. But if she laments that taxes went to her business, she remains a small lamentation, " said Lala

Arben Malaj: PS is heading towards the fate of PASOK, it will disintegrate!
Former Minister of Finance, Arben Malaj, has commented on the internal debates in the Socialist Party following the clash between party leader, Edi Rama, and MP Elisa Spiropali.
According to him, Spiropali's future should not be decided by what Rama will do with him, but rather by leaving the parliamentary group to bring something new and hopeful.
"We are in a political leadership crisis, the Socialist Party is heading towards the fate of PASOK, it will disintegrate, it will reach its lowest point and this will be the responsibility of those who have blind faith in the leader. Rotations have occurred when the ruling party has split, so it has also happened in the Albanian rotation.
"I understand one thing about Spiropali, Rama will not rush to exclude him because he will not give him time to organize, this is Spiropali's challenge, will he come out in front like the leader did in Hungary or will he wait", Malaj told Euronews Albania.
Former Foreign Minister, Elisa Spiropali seems to have crossed the party's red line with harsh public criticism through several posts on social media, limits that Prime Minister Rama made clear to her at the April 27 meeting of the socialist group and ministers.
The first major crisis occurred when Spiropali broke party orders and did not participate in the vote on Belinda Balluku's immunity.
