Criminalistics expert Ervin Karamuço has given new details about the serious event that happened in Kamez, where a 27-year-old woman ended her life by jumping from the building.
The reason that the young woman undertook the extreme act is suspected to be the publication of an intimate photo, and for this event, 39-year-old Altin Çoku, a well-known character in Tik Tok, was arrested.
In an interview for 'ABC News', the forensics expert underlined that the person in question, the 39-year-old, was known as a person who blackmailed and that he has a long history with law enforcement bodies. He also added that since the period of COVID-19, cyber crimes have tripled.
"Since the period of COVID when people were isolated, cyber crimes have tripled. Today we have an extraordinary flow that the police have a challenge of their own to monitor all this flow. After these people blackmail, they demand fines to subdue certain characters. The person in question has a long history with law enforcement agencies, has been convicted of extortion by intimidation for profit, has had repeated complaints about videos or photos.
As this targets the female gender and makes her then subservient to him for all sexual demands. If he had intervened in time, there would have been no one involved, or a loss of life. We don't yet have strict regulatory institutions to deal with these photo-sharing accounts. In this particular case, the deceased was in the process of divorce, there were additional problems due to the conditions, as has been reported. The justification for this person who took my photo is that the phone was unlocked, when he saw it he could have removed it because he kept it on his cell phone", he said, among other things.
