Just a few days ago, a serious event shocked Kurbini, where as a result of an assassination, the economist of an inert company accidentally lost his life, while the target was the owner of the company.
One of the main tracks that is being investigated is an event that happened in 2002, where the brother of the target of Kurbin's assassination, Dritan Gjeloshi, was involved.
Gjeloshi was tried for murder under qualifying circumstances for an event on November 28, 2002, in the Milot-Fushë Kruje axis.
After an exchange of gunfire, in this event, citizen Marije Prenga was killed, Kastriot Prenga and Vitore Prenga were injured. Dritan Gjeloshi himself was injured at the scene during that time.
The investigation proved 22 years ago that Kastriot Prenga together with his uncle, his uncle's daughter-in-law, Marie Prenga, and his two sisters, had been in the village of Gorre to attend the funeral ceremony of his grandfather, the late Mark Mashi.
Before the funeral ceremony, Kastriot Prenga had gone earlier to get boards at the house of Gjon Gjeloshi, who was a neighbor of Mark Mashin, as he intended to accommodate the people who would comfort him on the day of the disaster.
At this moment, Prenga had a conflict with Gjon Gjeloshin, who claimed that the police had mistreated the children (including Prenga).
The event precipitated at the end of the funeral ceremony when Kastriot Prenga, while driving the pick-up truck, had as passengers five relatives with whom he was returning home.
The witnesses said that the road was interrupted by Dritan Gjeloshi, who shot them with an automatic machine with 21 bullets, killing one woman and injuring two others.
He was also injured after the investigations at the time found fired cartridges and a pistol with which the investigations proved that Prenga had shot.
Dritan Gjeloshi was sentenced to 20 years in prison for this crime.
Two days ago, there was an assassination attempt on Dritan's brother, Ardian Gjeloshi, owner of an inert company, where the economist Selman Mihana was killed.
