Alma Kaçi has arrived at the premises of the Special Prosecutor's Office (SPAK) today.
Kaçi was included in a video with Safet Gjicin having sexual relations in the latter's office, while holding the position of the mayor of Kukës.
Kaçi is accompanied by two police officers to the premises of SPAK. Kaçi has been placed under house arrest after the publication of the video scandal, while the Supreme Court overturned her appeal to ease the measure.
We remind you that Safet Gjici was arrested on June 24 after the publication of a video scandal where the former mayor was seen having sex in his office in the municipality of Kukes. In his testimony, Gjici claimed that he did not break the law, but fell prey to a trap set by those who do not want him.
After the sexual act, Gjici talks to the girl with whom he had an intimate relationship, identified as Alma Kaçi, about a tender for street dogs, from the municipality's funds.
We remind you that GJKKO left the former mayor of Kukës in prison on June 26, while he appeared in court together with 40-year-old Alma Kaçi, with whom he had an intimate relationship in the municipal office.
The investigation against Gjici started on June 16, 2023, immediately after a video was published in the media where Safet Gjici appeared in his office having sexual relations with Alma Kaçi. Initially, an investigation was launched against him for the accusation of abuse of office, while after the publication of the second part of the video where Alma appeared while asking Gjici for a tender for her dog association, SPAK has started investigations for corruption.
SPAK suspects that Safet Gjici has favored Alma Kaçi by offering him financial support, with the decision of the Municipal Council, on a project for sheltering and caring for stray dogs in the city.
Both have claimed that they had an intimate relationship with each other before talking to the state office about tenders and favors and after they had sexual intercourse.
