Mount Dukat continues to be engulfed in flames, while two Canadair aircraft from Greece are working to extinguish the massive fire. The fire has been active for several days, while the terrain has made intervention difficult.
Planes from the neighboring country arrived yesterday afternoon, while also, after the activation of the EU Civil Protection Mechanism, Italy sent a team and two Canadair firefighting planes, which operated in the area called "Lake of Flowers", in the Lura National Park, a hotbed that has also been active for several days.
This intervention aims to accelerate the extinguishing of active fires in areas of high natural importance.
