Journalist Eni Ferhati has revealed new details regarding the assassination attempt that occurred in Rinas, where 47-year-old Gilmando Dani was killed and 40-year-old Mustafa Sheqri was injured, who died a few days later in hospital as a result of his wounds.
Speaking to "Now with Erla Mëhilli", Ferhati said that the informants who were in the airport premises and who signaled the executioners about the targets' movements used silicone masks to avoid identification by security cameras.
" Regarding the people who helped the perpetrators to be precise in carrying out the mission, the informants were wearing silicone masks. There are no smart cameras that can identify them. In the terminal or parking lot, they appear with the image of a person who has nothing to do with the person they really are. Smart cameras could not always shed light on the events ," Ferhati declared.
He explained that it was not the assassins who used silicone masks, but the informants who operated within the airport premises to signal the moment of Dani and Sheqri's movement.
" The bombers did not have silicone masks, but I'm talking about the informants who were inside the airport premises, such as the parking lot ," he emphasized.
During statements on the show, the journalist said that all legal procedures regarding the "Smart City" project, which envisages the installation of high-resolution cameras, have been exhausted.
" All legal procedures have been exhausted. The funds are from the United Arab Emirates, the project has passed and smart cameras will be installed. However, this cannot guarantee that the events will be solved. But even the most modern technology cannot catch everything if the perpetrators use sophisticated evasion methods ," he said.
