The full charges that sank Berisha and Jamarbër Malltezi, from money

The Special Court has set tonight the obligation to appear and the ban on leaving the country for former Prime Minister Sali Berisha.

The security measure for the former prime minister of the country was given in the framework of investigations by SPAK for the privatization of the sports complex of the Partizani club in the capital.

The former prime minister is accused of the criminal offenses of passive corruption, concealment of assets and money laundering.

Also, at the request of SPAK for the same issue, Berisha's son-in-law, Jamarbër Malltezi, was arrested this evening, and the security measure "prison arrest" was set for businessman Fatmir Bekteshi.

Malltezi and Bekteshi are accused of criminal offenses of corruption and money laundering. Also, GJKKO has decided to seize some of Malltez's assets.

Meanwhile, it is reported that the charges against Berisha and his son-in-law Jamarbër Malltezi are corruption, money laundering, as well as concealment and false declaration of assets.

On November 17, 2020, the former head of the SP parliamentary group, Taulant Balla, submitted a criminal report to SPAK, for the privatization of the "Partizani" complex. Balla had brought charges against the former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, the former Minister of Defense Arben Imami, other members of the government led by Berisha, Jamarbër Malltezi the son-in-law of Sali Berisha, the direct beneficiary of this property as well as the head of the Albanian army staff together with the administrators and shareholders of the two construction companies in that complex. A property with about 10,000 m2, right in the center of Tirana in 2008 and back was privatized with a value of 100,000 dollars.

A file that the Special Prosecutor's Office has in hand is that of the privatization of Partizani Club. In this lawsuit filed by Balla, the former prime minister Berisha, his son-in-law Jamarbër Malltezi and the former minister Arben Imami are accused of abuse of office.

The "Partizani" sports club was the most important sports complex owned by the Ministry of Defense that stood here, not far from the center of Tirana, where today you can see this group of 17 towers on "Frosina Plaku" Street, at the Former Field aviation, the largest sports center in the heart of the capital, measuring 26,000 square meters, which in the end was paid only 14,000 euros.

On that land, dozens of towers of the Magnet 1 and Magnet 2 complex have been built and are still being built, worth 4,000 times more, of which Jamarber Malltezi, the son-in-law of the "doctor", is a co-owner with over 40% of the shares. A dark affair this, which produced profits of tens of millions of euros.

Who are the beneficiaries of this affair?

The main "pivot" seems to be Sali Berisha, in the capacity of the prime minister, even though he no longer signed his hand, he forced ministers and directors to transfer the public property into the hands of his son-in-law Jamarbër Malltezi. The main beneficiary is Jamarbër Malltezi, who from the alleged heir of 140 m2 of land, managed to get 35% of the surface thanks to a success agreement with the other heirs, where in exchange for the return of the property thanks to the power of the father-in-law, he would take in return the surface in question. On this property, Malltezi erected 19 towers, with money whose source is unknown, in which he owns 40%.

Also, former Ministers of Defense, Fatmir Mediu, Gazmend Oketa and Arben Imami, former Minister of Finance, Ridvan Bode, former Minister of Economy, Genc Ruli, former President Bamir Topi, former Secretary General of Council of Ministers Gjergji Lezha, former director of Anti-corruption in the Prime Minister Oerd Bylykbashi, former inspector of Anti-corruption Ilir Kadiu.

This issue has produced a lot of noise, accusations and debates from all sides of politics, but now SPAK seems to have started "frantically" from work by raising concrete accusations against the individuals involved in this suspected corruption affair.
