A fire has engulfed the area above the village of Kalasë, in the municipality of Delvinë, causing concern for residents and local authorities. According to reports from the field, the flames have spread in a place with significant difficulties for the intervention of firefighting services.
The fire is currently located above the residential area and there is a risk of involving the houses in the village. Firefighting teams are making efforts to reach the area and intervene, but the rugged terrain and lack of access make the extinguishing operation extremely difficult.
Local authorities are urging residents to be cautious and ready to evacuate if the situation worsens. In the meantime, air intervention is on the horizon if the fire is not brought under control in the coming hours.
