"Senior officials have signed", the journalist collides with the

Engineer Qerim Ismeni and journalist Julian Hoxhaj argued about the hazardous waste returned to the port of Durrës.

According to the engineer, it is not a matter of hazardous waste but of zinc in the form of powder that is used in industry, including from Thailand for the production of tin.

"Thailand is one of the largest producers of tin in the world and along with tin there is also zinc. This ion product is in the form of zinc oxide, which is in powder form, it is not waste. They are not dangerous, they are goods for trade", he said in the Review show on Euronews Albania.

According to the journalist Hoxhaj, the biggest problem is that the origin of these remains is still unknown, and according to the investigation of the Basel Network, there are doubts that Albania may have been used only to carry out the procedures and these remains may have come from anywhere.

"We do not know their origin, the head of the Basel Network has raised doubts that Albania may have been used simply to carry out procedures and these remains may have come from anywhere. The Kurum company has denied that they are its waste, it is not yet known who produced them. It is not only the responsibility of the port, there are higher officials who have signed protocols that control exactly the port of Durrës for such issues", said the journalist.
