Vetting process, over 6 thousand citizens send complaints to judges and

6,609 Albanian citizens complained and sent letters to the Vetting for the judges and prosecutors, whom they accused of being corrupt, biased, but also showed their hidden assets.

As it is calculated that the Vetting in the KPK will end before the deadline of the end of December, citizens' denunciations are being directed towards the Special Appeals Board which will continue to examine the complaints of those not confirmed in office, or the objections of the international observers of the ONM.

The first level of vetting confirmed for TCH that since the start of the first session in 2018, 802 decisions have been announced, while three members of the judiciary, specifically one judge and two legal assistants, have not been checked.

370 were confirmed in office and 267 were dismissed from office. But while among those confirmed, I found that their dismissal was requested on appeal, the KPA, which has the role of the constitutional court in Albania for vetting, directed all those dismissed

Here in the court of Strasbourg, 130 judges and prosecutors who have not been confirmed in office have filed a complaint, for whom the triple process found problems with assets and purity of image

The files of those dismissed who claim irregular process are under review. In five years, Strasbourg has announced seven decisions, which in the vast majority give right to Vetting.

However, among the seven decisions, only one decision for reinstatement has been announced, and it is for the prosecutor Antoneta Sevdari, who won and for which Strasbourg calls it a "disproposal procession", for this reason the Albanian state was fined by Strasbourg.

With the closing of the Vetting process in the KPK, the mandate of the public commissioner ends, who will be replaced in the Appeal by SPAK supported by international observers.

The Vetting process ends in December and the next battle will be moved here in Strasbourg./ TCH
