A summary report, drawn up by the Ministry of Finance, based on internal audit reports of ministries, municipalities, prefectures and state companies, has found that during the first 5 months of 2024, corruption has increased by 30% more than at the end of 2023.
According to the jurisdiction, the Minister of Finance, Ervin Mete, will submit this report on the level of corruption to Prime Minister Edi Rama, while according to the obligation of cooperation, he must submit it to the anti-corruption agencies as a reference for legal actions.
Such reports were drawn up 14 times during the 11 years of Edi Rama's government, but they were kept secret and left silent by the government, not setting in motion and not allowing the anti-corruption structures to act, not even the Directorate Anti-corruption in the Prime Minister.
Therefore, corruption has increased year after year, starting from the prime minister, through ministries, municipalities, central agencies and even the smallest units that tender state funds and property.
Only according to the reports of KLSH and internal audits of the government and local government, the total number of thefts in the years 2014-2023 is 12 billion Euros; of which, 8 billion Euros in road tenders, local investments, waste, tourism, energy, health, education and agriculture.
But the alarming indicator in the last report of the Ministry of Finance is the fact that after the creation of the Anti-corruption Ministry, corruption has increased by 30%, despite the fact that SPAK attacks have been more numerous at every level of government.
In this case, the logical suspicion arises that Prime Minister Edi Rama, with a government mired in corruption, created the Anti-corruption Ministry, as a facade to deceive partners, as if he is allegedly fighting corruption and meeting the requirements of the negotiation chapter.
But corruption is increasing, while Minister Adea Pirdeni has not taken any public action against corruption, except for a statement at a meeting of the SP, where she said: - I am the minister of anti-corruption. With the support of the far-sighted and reforming Prime Minister Edi Rama, he is fighting corruption according to his directives and the chapter of negotiations.
