Aerial footage of the 21st anti-government protest shows a packed boulevard from the Prime Minister's Office to Skanderbeg Square, in what is considered one of the largest civic mobilizations in recent decades.
Today, like never before, the Dëshmorët e Kombit Boulevard was packed from corner to corner. Thousands and thousands of citizens took to the streets against the government, and from the footage it is clear that the boulevard was packed from the Prime Minister's Office to Skënderbeg Square.
"Pamphlet" asked ChatGPT for the images below and according to Artificial Intelligence analysis, based on the methodology used internationally for assessing crowds, where the calculation is made on the occupied area and the density of participants per square meter, participation in today's protest may have been in the range of 70 thousand to 100 thousand citizens.
The "Martyrs of the Nation" Boulevard, from the Prime Minister's Office to "Skënderbej" Square, is approximately 1 kilometer long. From the published images, the crowd appears spread across the entire width of the boulevard, while in many segments the density of protesters appears high.
If the area occupied by the crowd and the known standards for measuring mass gatherings are taken into account, participation results in tens of thousands of protesters, with estimates that could reach up to 100,000 people.
The scenes of this evening are unusual for Tirana. For the first time in many years, a civic protest has filled the capital's main boulevard on this scale, while the participation of the diaspora has given the gathering a new dimension.
The protest, which has entered its 21st day, began after the developments in Zvërnec, but has turned into a broader movement against the government and the political class. The chants of "Rama go away", "Rama in prison", "Berisha in prison" and "New Albania" have dominated the entire evening.
