Funeral agencies in Russia have refused to hold a farewell ceremony for late Russian opposition leader Alexey Navalny.
The spokeswoman of the deceased, Kira Yarmysh, stated that she has been looking for a public or private funeral agency for several days, but no one accepts.
"Since Monday we have been looking for a place where we can say goodbye to Alexey. We called most of the private and public funeral agencies but they have refused," Yarmysh wrote on X.
According to her, they have claimed that the space is occupied or have refused them as soon as Navalny's name is mentioned.
On Monday, Yarmysh announced that the public farewell ceremony for Navalny will be held at the end of the week.
