The chairman of the Committee for Foreign Affairs in the German Bundestag, Michael Roth, has reacted strongly to Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and his special ties with China and his approach to Taiwan.
In an interview for the Chinese media, Vucic says that Taiwan is China, it depends on you what and when you will do with it.
In a reaction to Vucic's statement that Taiwan is China, Michael Roth said that the President of Serbia is an extension of the Kremlin and Beijing in Europe.
"Vucic cynically jumps into the arms of the Chinese regime and gives it a free pass for a military solution to the Taiwan issue. Vucic is an extension of the Kremlin and Beijing in Europe", he wrote on the 'X' platform.
The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, told the media about the good relations between Serbia and China, especially in the economic aspect, emphasizing the benefits after the signing of the free trade agreement between the two countries.
"It will open a big market for some of our agricultural products, the good wine of Serbia. Also, we will get Chinese products at a lower price and bring more Chinese businessmen to our country. It will also bring many tourists. This free trade agreement was something I dreamed of for a long time and now it has become a reality," the Serbian president further stated. Vucic also announced the opening of a direct flight line between Belgrade and Beijing.
Vucic said that Chinese President Xi Jinping will visit Serbia this year. Xi visited Serbia for the last time in 2016.
