Both this and the return flight were canceled so that crews could carry out emergency inspections of the aircraft.
Fortunately, no passengers or crew members were injured during the malfunction and they were booked on alternate flights to their original destinations, Aviation 24 reported.
An Air France spokesman said the masks were activated as a precaution because "the automatic mask drop height had not yet been reached".
