Meanwhile, in the occupied West Bank at least 95 Palestinians have been killed and 1,828 injured since Hamas attacks and Israeli retaliation.
The ministry said the Gaza Strip has experienced 250 attacks on its health sector, leaving a large part of its population without adequate medical assistance.
She also warned of the impact on health infrastructure, saying that ten of the 35 hospitals in the Gaza Strip - equating to 28% - are currently non-functional. Of these, nine hospitals are "destroyed or out of order".
The Ministry added that the health sector has further lost 54 health personnel, with over 90 injured. Ambulances have also been affected, with 50 hit and 23 now out of service.
In Gaza there have also been outbreaks of smallpox, scabies and diarrhea have appeared due to the deterioration of the health environment, the lack of sanitation and the consumption of water from unsafe sources, the ministry announced. Hospitals are on the verge of collapse, operating at more than 150% of their capacity. The situations have become so dire that operations are being performed without anesthesia, and in some cases, under the illumination of telephone lights, the Palestinian Authority's Ministry of Health added.
