The High Representative of the European Union, Josep Borell, has stated that the wars in Ukraine and in the Middle East, although they are different, both are causing shock waves around the world.
"The war in Ukraine and the Israel-Hamas war have different causes, but both are sending shockwaves around the world. Russia is sure that it is taking advantage of this situation and is turning the crisis in the Middle East to its advantage ", said Borell, among other things.
He also emphasized that the EU is concerned about the lives of every civilian, from either side of Gaza.
" We must give strong support to Israel, because they experienced the biggest attack against the Jewish population. But we also have to take into account that innocent people are dying among the Palestinian population" , said Borell, among other things.
