Dodik has long provoked reactions with destabilizing statements that include the secession of Republika Srpska from Bosnia or the creation of a Greater Serbia.
The US ambassador to Bosnia, Michael Murphy, reacted to the statement of the head of the Republic of Srpska, Milorad Dodik, who three days ago revealed the dream of a greater Serbia.
Through a communique for the media, the US diplomat said that the US will not stand idly by while Dodik and his political friends try to tear apart the structure of BiH and try to destabilize the country and the region and hinder the country's progress towards the EU.
"Milorad Dodik, the President of the Republika Srpska (RS) entity of Bosnia is blocking the government, threatening the peace and seeking to blackmail or harass the country's other political leaders and the international community. We are determined to protect the sovereignty, territorial integrity and multi-ethnic character of Bosnia and Herzegovina ," US Ambassador to Bosnia Michael Murphy said in a statement to the media on Tuesday.
We recall that a few days ago Milorad Dodik declared that within this century, Serbia, Republika Srpska, Kosovo and Montenegro should unite in a single state.
"We live in an era when after a few years or decades a new configuration of the world will have to be created, and Serbs should not be taken by surprise. But now we have to say that in this century we want a single state consisting of Republika Srpska, Serbia, Kosovo and if such a decision is democratic, also Montenegro", said Dodik earlier, although he added that a state of such must be formed by democratic means and political measures, and not by war.
Dodik has long provoked reactions with destabilizing statements that include the secession of Republika Srpska from Bosnia or the creation of a Greater Serbia.
For this reason, just a few days ago, the United States imposed sanctions on individuals and entities associated with the Bosnian Serb nationalist, including his two children, Gorica and Igor. Dodik himself was sanctioned by the USA on January 5, 2022./ Pamphlet
