The Russian armed forces tested a ballistic missile in the Orenburg region of the Urals, but the test failed after the missile was destroyed just seconds after launch.
According to information, it was an SS-19 (Stiletto) missile, which carried the Avangard hypersonic system.
This system is capable of performing very high-speed maneuvers while flying towards the target, which makes it almost impossible to neutralize it.
Footage posted on social media shows the rocket being launched and then deflected, returning seconds later. Its fall to the ground caused a huge explosion.
Local authorities stated that there is no danger to the population and that residents do not need to leave their homes.
