Donald Trump heading to Rome? Doesn't rule out attending Pope Francis'

A trip to Rome by Donald Trump to attend Pope Francis' funeral cannot be ruled out, but is not currently planned, the White House has said.

Spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt said that "at this time" no trip was planned for the American leader to fly to Italy.

"This doesn't mean the trip won't happen," she said.

"We pray for the millions of Christians around the world who loved and admired the Pope," Donald Trump added.
