Alessandro Capriotti, known as the Billionaire, has been jailed on suspicion of instigating the murder of Fabrizio Piscitelli, also known as Diabolik. "I'll break your head", "We know where your son is", "I'm not an only child, be careful what you do" are the threats made to a businessman blackmailed by his boss and associate, Lorenzo Marinucci. Salvatore Nicitra and former NAR member Riccardo Brugia were also arrested.
"Nothing has changed. Criminal leaders make deals and control the city by taking advantage of silence and lack of attention," whispers an experienced investigator.
He comments on the meeting between the bosses, which was interrupted by the intervention of the investigative unit of the Carabinieri of Rome. The meeting was taking place inside a room of the Pio XI nursing home, because the Roman underworld is treated with kid gloves: community centers and clinics for visits and domination dreams.
The one being pursued by the carabinieri is Alessandro Capriotti, known as the Billionaire. A life dedicated to crime, including violence and drug trafficking, he is also under investigation for inciting the murder of Fabrizio Piscitelli, known as Diabolik.
He was imprisoned following an arrest warrant issued by the public prosecutor at the request of the judicial police, given the risk of his escape and the urgency of the operation.
Urgent action is needed to prevent worse consequences for a high-tech entrepreneur who has fallen under the blackmailing axe of Capriotti and his associate, Lorenzo Marinucci, who has also been imprisoned.
Capriotti had authorization and was under house arrest to visit the nursing home twice a week.
However, when investigators intervened, they found him in the company of an old acquaintance of Roman crime, Salvatore Nicitra, considered one of the kings of the city.
Sentenced to 9 years for criminal conspiracy, he was recently placed under special supervision with a request for a stay, but continued to have a license and drive his Smart car. A few days ago, Domani interviewed him, reiterating his innocence.
Now he is the subject of a signature request and is being tried for habitual association with criminals. A final figure completes the Roman criminal landscape: Riccardo Brugia, former NAR (National Antimafia Organization) and a close friend of Massimo Carminati.
What was the Roman crime elite doing in a hospital room? Business and power, the same old stories. Brugia ended up in prison because, during a carabinieri check for illegal possession of weapons, they found a pistol with the serial number removed.
Capriotti and Marinucci threatened the businessman in every way. "I don't care about the carabinieri and the police, you can govern better from prison, I'm not an orphan, talk to me, the others will catch you and kill you," they said. Now they are in prison, but the meeting reveals that everything has returned to normal; in the capital, criminal activity never ends.
On one side, Capriotti, with ties to the Senese family, Molisso and Bennato; on the other, Nicitra; and finally, the never-ending blacks, Brugia and his world of former NAR members. /Adapted from Il Domani/
